Sanctuary Phinisi
The voyage
Eighteen guests across nine cabins, and a jacuzzi on the roof.
test Sanctuary carries more cabins than any vessel here, including boats seventeen metres longer. That is the point of her. Eighteen guests across nine doors means three or four families can travel together without anyone sharing with someone they would rather not, and a group that large usually needs rooms more than it needs length. Forty eight metres of handcrafted hull, open air lounges on more than one level, and a jacuzzi on the roof deck, which sounds like a flourish until the fourth evening at anchor when it becomes where everyone ends up. Her range covers Komodo, Raja Ampat and the Spice Islands, so a long charter can move rather than circle. Service scales to eighteen without thinning out, which is the harder part and the reason a boat this size needs the crew it carries. For a group that arrived as several households and wants to stay that way aboard, she is the one that works.

Cabins and facilities
Spaces
A 48 metre phinisi built in Bulukumba, laid out over four decks for eighteen guests and a crew of eighteen. Rooms to retreat to, decks to gather on, and the sea on every side. Here is how she is arranged.

The Cabins
Nine suites, eighteen guests
Nine en suite cabins, all air conditioned, in warm wood. The Presidential Suite takes the upper deck with 270 degree views, a walk in dresser and its own jacuzzi. Two Executive Suites sit beside it, six Junior Suites below. Nobody draws straws.

Outdoor Decks
Nothing between you and the horizon
Four decks, open views at every level. The main deck takes long lunches in the shade and afternoons in the breeze. The rooftop takes the jacuzzi, the loungers and the best of the sunset. Pick a level. Change your mind later.

Indoor Lounge & Entertainment
For the hottest hour, and after dark
An air conditioned lounge and dining room with a stocked bar, for when the heat peaks or the sun has gone. Meals run long here, conversation longer. Karaoke later, if the night goes that way. Nobody will judge.

Dining on Board
From the galley
A private chef cooks to your taste, from local Indonesian produce and whatever is in season. Menus are shaped around you before you board and adjusted as you go. Lunch in the shade. Dinner wherever the evening lands.

Water Sports & Diving
Out, and back
Diving and snorkelling across the reefs, with guides who know where the current brings the life through. Kayaks and paddleboards for the quieter hours. The tender gets you to the beach and, eventually, back.

Beachside Escapes
Dinner, moved ashore
Some nights dinner leaves the boat entirely. The tender runs you to an empty beach, candles are lit, a long table set, a barbecue if that is the mood. No other guests. No closing time.
