Spaces

Four single storey bungalows on a Babakan cul de sac, with rice fields past the fence. Mid century Los Angeles meets Bali: clean lines, big glass, nothing that shouts. Each is two bedrooms, 197 square metres and its own pool. The rooms, in order.

Living Room

GLASS THAT DISAPPEARS

One level, no stairs, and a wall of glass that slides out of sight. Open it and the living room, deck and pool are one floor. Close it and the A/C takes over. Mid century, done properly.

Kitchen and Dining

HOST FROM THE HOB

The kitchen and the table share one room, so cooking for four is not a solo act. Full suite of appliances and a long counter between hob and table. Bokashi Grocery is nearby for the rest.

Pool and Deck

RICE FIELDS PAST THE EDGE

A private pool with the rice fields as the back wall. The deck is built for mornings: coffee, stretch, swim, in whichever order. By afternoon it is the shady spot for a long lunch.

Bedrooms

SAME LEVEL, OWN GLASS

Two bedrooms on the same level as everything else, each with full height sliding glass and nothing on the walls that does not earn its place. Queen beds and cul de sac quiet.

Bathrooms

SPA FIRST, BATHROOM SECOND

Both bedrooms have their own ensuite, finished more like a spa than a bathroom: stone, warm light, a rain shower, good mirrors. A half bath by the living room keeps guests out of yours.

Home Office

THE QUIET CORNER

A proper built in desk in its own corner, away from the living room. Calls happen here, not at the dining table. When it is done, OXO The Factory in Canggu is yours too, on the house.

OFF THE LANE

The lane is a cul de sac in Babakan, so nothing passes but neighbours. Motorbike parking at the gate, shared car parking on site. Through the gate, it is your garden.

Stretchr comes to the house. A practitioner moves you through a full assisted stretch on the deck, which is what a body wants after sixteen hours in economy. Book it for the morning after you land.

Aqua Bike

IN YOUR POOL

A bike that lives underwater. Pedal in your own pool for the cardio without the sweat, the heat or anyone watching. Rented by the day and set up before you get in. Private pools only.

A scooter at the gate from the day you arrive, with helmets, a full tank and the paperwork done. Canggu, Berawa and the beach are all easier on two wheels. Book it with the room.
