Program Overview

The OXO Fellowship Programme offers an unparalleled opportunity for recent graduates to work on real-world sustainability projects, receive mentorship, and participate in professional development programs. This initiative focuses on developing expertise in sustainable engineering practices, enhancing professional qualifications with industry-recognized certifications, and fostering innovation and leadership in green building and sustainable infrastructure.

Key Features

Position Title: Sustainability Assistant

Contract Duration: Until 2030

Reports To: Sustainability Manager

Job Description

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on various tasks and projects as requested by OXO to ensure the program’s success.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as needed.
  • Uphold the values and mission of OXO in all professional activities and interactions.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with all team members and stakeholders.

Certifications

  • Complete professional certifications: Greenship Associate, Greenship Professional, and EDGE (IFC).
  • Lead and be responsible for the certification process to achieve the best results.
  • Prepare documentation required for certifications and compliance with green building standards.

Project Participation

  • Assist in planning, designing, and implementing sustainable infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainable practices into ongoing and new projects.

Data Collection and Analysis

  • Gather, record, and manage data related to energy use, water efficiency, materials sustainability, and other environmental metrics.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations based on data findings.

Mentorship and Development

  • Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions on sustainability and green building practices.
  • Participate in the mentorship program, receiving guidance from industry experts.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance skills in project management, leadership, and communication.

Community Engagement

  • Support community outreach and education efforts on sustainability practices.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Strong interest in sustainability, green building practices, and environmental conservation.
  • Basic understanding of sustainable engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
