OXO Goes to Campus: Introducing The OXO Fellowship Program

At OXO, we’re passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment.

Recently, we took our mission to the next level by visiting four amazing universities in Bali: Udayana University, Mahasaraswati University, Warmadewa University, and Undiknas . Our goal was to introduce The OXO Fellowship Programme for Sustainability Assistants, discuss the importance of green building and certification, and open up exciting internship opportunities.

During our visits, we received a warm welcome from enthusiastic lecturers at each university. We presented The OXO Fellowship Program, which aims to recruit and develop fresh graduates in civil engineering as Sustainability Assistants. Running until 2030, this programme focuses on equipping participants with the skills and certifications needed to lead in sustainable construction and development.

We keenly discussed the principles of green building and discussed certifications like Greenship Associate, Greenship Professional, and EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) Expert by IFC. The lecturers were super engaged, asking great questions and sharing their thoughts on the future of green building in Indonesia. Our discussions highlighted the core goals of The OXO Fellowship Programme: building expertise in sustainable engineering, enhancing qualifications with industry-recognized certifications, and fostering innovation and leadership in green building.

We also talked about the exciting internship opportunities between OXO and these universities. The faculty members were very interested in forming partnerships that would give students real-world experience in sustainability projects, helping them deepen their understanding of green building practices. We emphasized the practical side of green building certification and its importance in sustainable construction. The open and engaging discussions underscored the need to blend academic knowledge with practical experience. Internships at OXO could provide invaluable hands-on learning with the latest sustainable building technologies, setting students up for successful careers.

Throughout our visits, one thing became clear: there’s a strong desire among students and faculty to engage with industry leaders and gain practical experience in sustainability and green building. The OXO Fellowship Programme offers a fantastic platform for this engagement, giving students the chance to work on real-world projects, receive mentorship, and boost their professional qualifications. By creating internship opportunities and fostering collaboration with these universities, we aim to inspire and nurture the next generation of sustainability leaders. Together, we can drive meaningful change and help build a greener, more sustainable future for Indonesia.

The journey to sustainability is something we all share, and we’re excited to partner with these universities to develop the talents of future sustainability champions. If you’re a student or faculty member at one of these universities, we invite you to explore The OXO Fellowship Programme and see the incredible opportunities it offers.
