Redefining Space
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Alexis Dornier’s design aesthetic mediates between elements of tropical modernism and industrial architecture with an underlying ambition to maximise the user’s experience and financial benefits within a predefined space.
The aesthetic is realised through a collaborative design process and careful selection of locally available natural materials, spatially composed to respond to the site and natural setting in which they are placed.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
The studio optimises its designs in relation to the sun path and air flow specific to the site to limit the necessity of resource use and general energy consumption. In OXO The Residences, we took the opportunity to create a residential project which addresses the bigger cultural and environmental issues, ultimately developing and contributing to Bali’s local community.
