Sun, Sand, and Sustainability: OXO’s Beach Clean Up Campaign

On September 20, OXO proudly organized a Beach Clean Up Day campaign at Perancak Beach, famously known as Berawa Beach. This campaign was a part of the global World Clean Up Day initiative, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our beaches and environment clean and free from waste. With our commitment to sustainability and community engagement, this event was a step forward in contributing to a cleaner and greener Bali.

In the morning, OXO Living also collaborated with local street vendors around Perancak Beach to sweep and clean the surrounding area. By involving the local community, we aimed to strengthen the message that keeping the environment clean is a shared responsibility. The beach vendors were enthusiastic in their participation, making the campaign not just about cleaning but also about fostering community bonds.

Before we began collecting the waste, the campaign kicked off with an energizing body combat session. Participants were fired up as they warmed up with fun and joy, creating an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie. The body combat session helped everyone get into the right mindset for the clean-up, blending fitness with environmental action, and ensuring the day started on a high note.

The Beach Clean Up Day saw the participation of 25 dedicated individuals from OXO and Friends, divided into five groups. Each group was tasked with collecting as much waste as possible, and the team that collected the most was rewarded at the end of the event. The spirit of friendly competition added to the excitement while driving everyone to do their best for the environment.

The waste collected during the campaign was meticulously sorted and handed over to Eco Bali, our trusted recycling partner. By ensuring that the waste is properly recycled, we aimed to reduce the amount of trash ending up in landfills and promote a circular economy. Eco Bali’s commitment to sustainable waste management aligns perfectly with OXO’s vision for a greener future.

This Beach Clean Up Day wasn’t just about removing litter; it was about raising awareness on the critical issue of waste management and the impact of pollution on our oceans and beaches. By participating in this global movement, OXO Living reinforced its commitment to sustainable practices and environmental conservation.
